Meet The Founder

Hi, I’m Umair Hotiana — founder of Sort My Mark and a trademark search analyst with over 9 years of experience, including at Corsearch, one of the world’s leading IP research firms.

My journey into trademarks began nearly a decade ago, when I saw how easily businesses — even with great ideas — ran into trouble because of overlooked trademark risks. That’s when I made it my mission to help them get it right, from the start.

After earning a Master’s in Trademark Law & Practice from Queen Mary University, I spent years working with startups, branding agencies, and law firms to navigate the complex world of intellectual property.

I launched Sort My Mark to make expert-level trademark protection accessible, accurate, and human.
